About the Author
29th December 2010
Hi there, my name’s Richard. I’m the guy behind QWeb, a web development business responsible for a couple of popular websites and riddles. For those interested, here’s a little about me;
At the time of writing, December 2010, I’m 24 years old. I’m a web and software developer from West Yorkshire, England. I’ve actually been programming for 14 years now, starting out in an MS-DOS based language called Quick BASIC at the age of 10. I’ve been through many different languages since then, on a few different hardware architectures and various software environments. After about 6 years I started building websites and in August 2005, registered as a self employed web developer.
As a developer I have also worked for Icelolly Marketing, the people behind icelolly.com and sunsave.com, and I’m currently working for Newmediaboutique, a web design agency in Leeds. I’m proud of my work and give it my all whether working for my own business or another. I consider standards compliance, accessibility and SEO to be just as important as design and I ensure my websites work properly in all major browsers.
I also dabble in a spot of photography, some of which can be found at Picture Postbox. I’ve been engaged to be married, (for probably too long now), to Kate Hudson and I spent 3 years living in Toronto, Canada.
